You may be eligible for cancellation of your Spring 2026 housing contract.
- If you are registered for Spring, but would like to be released from your Spring Housing contract, you may submit a request for release through the Housing portal. Requests must include information on why you wish to cancel and any supporting documentation.
- If you will not be registered for Spring 2026, you should go to the Housing Services Office in McCarthy Way Parking Structure (PSX) to complete your cancellation. You will need to have dropped all Spring classes prior to coming in.
- If you are participating in a Spring 2026 Semester Away program, please submit a request for release through the Housing portal.
Requests must be received on or before Friday, November 7, 2025 to be considered. If approved, you would be notified by return e-mail with instructions on the process to complete your cancellation.
If you are granted release for Spring 2026, you will need to vacate your housing assignment at the end of the fall semester:
- by 5pm December 17, 2025 for students living in residence halls and suites
- by 5pm December 19, 2025 for students living in apartments
You may check out sooner if you are leaving early for the holidays, but your contract will still end on the above dates.
