Application Processing Fee
A $55 nonrefundable application processing fee must be made at the time you submit your housing application. Please see the Application and Assignment page for more information on how to apply. (Returning residents participating in our renewal process will have this fee charged to their student account.)
Contract Confirmation Payment
A $800 confirmation payment must be made at the time you confirm your contract. See Contracts. (Returning residents participating in our renewal process will have this fee charged to their student account.)
The confirmation payment for contracts for the spring and summer terms is $400.
The contract confirmation payment will be credited back to the student’s account if the resident fulfills the terms of his/her contract.
Housing charges are billed in two ways:
- Rents for resident halls, suite and all undergraduate apartments as well as meal plan costs are billed at the beginning of each semester (August and December); you can set up a payment plan with the university Cashier’s office if you wish to pay your rent monthly.
- Rents for graduate student building and family housing are billed monthly. Charges appear on each monthly statement issued by the university Cashier’s Office.
Students who have been approved to check into their housing assignments early will be charged a fee of $75 per night for each night prior to the beginning of their contract.
Residents staying in university housing between the end of a academic year contract and the beginning of a summer contract and/or the end of a summer housing contract and the beginning of an academic year contract will be charged a fee of $25 for each night.
Authorized Late Vacate
Residents approved to stay in university housing beyond the end of their contract will be charged a fee of $75 per night for each approved night stayed after the end of the contract.
Unauthorized Late Vacate
Residents that fail to check out by 5pm on the day their contract ends, and do not have an authorized late vacate will be charged a fee of $200 per night. In addition to this fee, residents who remain beyond the end of their contract or approved extension may also be subject to other student conduct or legal action as well as other charges.
