Considering cancelling your housing contract for Spring 2027? You may be eligible.
If you are participating in a Spring 2027 Semester Away program
• Submit a request for release through the Housing portal.
• When your participation is verified you will receive an e-mail instructing you to come in to the Housing Services Office by 5:00pm. Friday, November 6 to cancel your Spring contract.
If you are graduating in December 2026
• Submit a request for release, along with proof of graduation (Stars report or letter from academic advisor) through the Housing portal.
Or
• Bring your proof of graduation and student ID to the Housing Services Office by 5:00pm. Friday, November 6 to complete your request to cancel your Spring contract.
If you will not be registered for Spring classes (such as withdrawal or leave of absence)
• Drop all spring classes.
• Submit a request for release through the Housing portal.
If you will be a full-time registered student for Spring 2027 and not in a Semester Away program you may still request cancellation
• Submit a request for release through the Housing portal. You will need to include your reason for cancellation and any supporting documentation by 5:00pm on Friday, November 6.
• If your request is approved, you will receive instructions by e-mail on the process to complete your cancellation.

Requests must be received on or before Friday, November 6, 2026 to be considered.
The Housing Services Office is located in the McCarthy Way Parking Structure (PSX) and is open 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday.
Move-Out Dates
If you are granted release for Spring 2027, you will need to vacate your housing assignment at the end of the fall semester:
• by 5:00pm December 16, 2026 for students living in residence halls and suites
• by 5:00pm December 18, 2026 for students living in apartments
You may check out sooner if you are leaving early for the holidays, but your contract will still end on the above dates.
